Quick answer: can you apply before final school results?
Yes, many students apply during their final school year. The answer depends on the qualification they will finish, not simply where they live.
For example, Egyptian Thanaweya Amma alone does not normally give direct entry to bachelor year one in Germany. The usual route is a one-year German university-preparation course, officially called Studienkolleg. It normally takes two semesters, ends with a qualifying examination and commonly requires B1–B2 German, roughly intermediate to upper-intermediate. One successful year at a recognised Egyptian university may open direct entry, but only to the same or a related field.
The other school systems follow different rules:
IGCSE alone is not the completed university-entry stage; the usual British route continues to full A levels.
Full A levels can give direct entry when the subjects and grades fit the degree. Many universities accept predicted grades; Germany normally waits for the exam board’s official provisional results.
The full IB Diploma can give direct entry when the points, Higher Level subjects and other conditions are met. Predicted IB grades often support conditional offers.
An American High School Diploma must be checked for accreditation, academic subjects, GPA and AP exams. The diploma alone is not direct bachelor entry in Germany.
A conditional offer is not final admission. The completed grades, subjects, language result and official documents must still satisfy the written conditions. A scholarship must also accept the student’s pending evidence and cover the actual route; a bachelor scholarship may exclude a preparation year.
